Wu Jiajun

NG Ka Chun

Graduated from the School of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2008. Most of his works are presented in the form of sculptures or installations. In addition to the reconstruction and reconstruction of daily objects, he also enters some social scenes to discuss topics such as urban development and natural environment. In addition, in recent years, he has participated in a number of public/community art projects, including "Ping Che Village School Performance Art Festival", "Kam Tin, Busan Art Exchange Project-Hou Tao Garden", "MTR. Art", "M+ Rover" plan, etc.

In 2013, he established the MUDWORK art unit with another artist Zhong Huien, using creation as a method to think about and promote independent life culture through artistic creation, education and hands-on practice.

 

Hong Kong based artist. Ng Ka Chun received his BA from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2008.. His art unsettles city dwellers' relationship with nature. In many of his works, he puts a spin on ready-made objects, presenting an alternative perspective that challenges the commonly accepted way of life. He also responds to social issues concerning fast-paced development in the city and preservation with interventional installations. In recent years, he has participated in several public/community art projects including “Grounded: Ping Yeung  School  of  Art", "In Search of Peachland", Art in MTR, M+ Rover and etc.

In 2013, he founded the art studio MUDWORK with a local artist, Chung Wai Ian, to promote independent living culture through art creation, education and hands-on practice by producing objects.
