"I Wish" Screening & Sharing
With over a hundred Tin Hau temples in Hong Kong, three in Lamma Island alone, director Cheuk Cheung observed and documented the state of Tin Hau Temples on the island and beyond. During this screening and sharing session, Cheuk Cheung will share the details of filming the documentary, as well his insights of contextualizing the everyday practice of the fishing community, islanders and city dwellers visiting the temples.

About the Artist :
Cheuk Cheung
Graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Cheuk directed three documentaries about Chinese Opera. In 2013, he received the Award for Young Artist in Hong Kong Arts Development Awards for My Way. In 2019, he was nominated for Best Documentary at the Golden Horse Awards and Best New Director at the Hong Kong Film Awards for Bamboo Theatre. He also initiated various theatre productions and cross-cultural exchange programs. In 2018, he co-directed a theatre piece Songs of Portrait, involving artists from Kunqu, Noh and opera.

Graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2010 she joined Fleurs des lettres, one of Hong Kong’s most acclaimed literary magazines, and was its director. She was one of the first runners-up for the 3rd Li Shing Wah Modern Poetry Award for Young Poets, and is one of the six recipients of the Panel Commendation Award for New Authors in the 13th Hong Kong Book Prize. Her first Chinese poetry collection, Or So It Seems, was published in 2018.
